Past & Present

I have always loved taking photos and have had a camera for as long as I can remember. I began my professional journey in photography in 2004 while still working on a degree in early childhood education. I always thought I wanted to be teacher because working with children is so entertaining and rewarding to me, but once I began photographing children professionally I knew that is where I belonged. I still get to fill my heart with the pure joy of being around children and I also get to create art. I am so extremely grateful to get to do what I do.

I am a mother of two curly haired girls with big personalities. They are the most hilarious people I have ever met and keep me very entertained.  They are also my biggest inspiration and teach me so much every single day.  In addition to my 2 daughters, I have some adorable furry family members. I am a huge animal lover and I believe pets are family too. So I absolutely love when your pets are part of the session.

My Work

I am very drawn to cinematic portraiture. I love dramatic lighting, emotional connection and narrative. I want every piece of art I create to tell a story, either my subject's authentic life story or a story from their imagination. I love personalizing every session and working with my clients to create concepts. It is not about "my" style or vision, to me, it is about how I can best use my technical skill and artistic eye to help bring YOUR vision and style to life.
